Our church focus for 2019 is LINK
We believe that God has called our church to truly be a Connection Point for people to be shown the love of God and be introduced to Christ.
In 2019, we want to become a LINK to our communities, showing them the love of God, inviting them to meet Christ, building relationships, and kindling our own flames as we stir up the gifts God has given each of us.
Engaging Praise and Worship
Under the leadership of Karen McMillion, our worship services include music that is designed to reach across generations. We use a lot of current music as well as reach back to our hymns and old choruses from time to time. We believe corporate worship is a valuable way for us to experience God’s presence.
Youth and Children’s Programs
Under the leadership of Kathy Gillispie, our Youth and Children’s program is designed to help your child(ren) learn the Bible and be introduced to Jesus. We do this in a setting that is tailored to their age group.
All of our youth and children’s workers have been trained on how to keep children safe while they are with us. Also, we do background checks on all of our youth and children’s workers before they begin serving in that area. Your child’s safety is a top priority for us!
The Women’s Ministry at Connection Point Church of God focuses on serving others in our local communities and beyond. Under the leadership of Stacy Newsome, our Women’s Ministry is a place to serve and connect with other women in our church. Strong relationships are an important part of our culture at Connection Point. Come to a women’s meeting or event and you will be immediately welcomed to not only participate, but to make genuine friends!
Bible Study and Discipleship
Our Wednesday evening Bible study is a place to learn about the Bible and our beliefs as a church. Wednesday evenings are full of discussion. It is a place where any question can be asked and we will try to answer it as a group. Sometimes we come to conclusions. Sometimes we don’t. Either way, it is a great time to engage the Bible more.
By the way, we serve dinner from 5:30 – 6:30 PM. So bring the kids and let us take of dinner (and the cleanup)!
Connect, Share, Learn
Connection Point provides small groups for you to connect with others and have a safe place to talk about life. No matter which Connect Group you choose, you will experience what it is like to be truly connected with people who encourage you, help you grow, and have fun!
